One of the most bizarre Internet memes to come along in a while is Giga Pudding. In Japan, one of the most popular desserts is a flan-style egg custard called (purin) (pudding), and Japanese kids eat it all the time. Giga Pudding is essentially a giant pudding that’s as big as a cake, and very delicious. The song is weird enough to rot your brain, and we can’t get the <i>pudi pudi!</i> words out of our heads. Everyone loves Japan’s most famous character, Hello Kitty, and so do we. We thought it’d be fun to make her loot a smarter, though, by giving her some awesome glasses that really bring out her nerdy side. We’re big fans of Highschool of the Dead, the awesome zombie-busting anime and manga, and we’ve made a new T-shirt that’s great for HOTD fans, which says “Property of High School of the Dead” on it, featuring a zombie’s bloody hand print. Panty and Stocking with Garbelt is the awesome show from Gainax, an incredible parody of Power Puff Girls and Dirty Pair, with just about every joke you can think of. J-List loves the show, and here’s our first homage to it — a T-shirt featuring a “Bitches in Black” Men in Black parody. Japan has a problem with men who like to touch women on crowded trains, who are called chikan (lit. masher, pervert), and police post signs that say chikan wa hanzai desu (touching girls on trains is a crime) to remind everyone of that. Here’s a wacky shirt that combines the creepy Mr. Kimura from Azumanga Daioh on the front with the the wacky message on the back warning on the back. (He’s the creator of the “mai waifu” meme from 4chan.) Available here.
Hello again from PCR Distributing! We’ve been busy recovering from Christmas but are here now, busting out some new T-shirts and other products your customers will love.
It’s important to watch trends in an industry like Japanese animation, and we’re always working to keep designs fresh and relevant. Today’s new T-shirt designs are great, referencing the anime shows and/or online memes your customers are already plugged into. First we have the new Property of Highschool of the Dead shirt, a tribute to the popular zombie animation that manages to be loaded with “fanservice” yet also be very well written — see the black shirt or the athletic grey one. (How many stories deal with what North Korea’s response to a zombie apocalypse would be?) Also, the hit Gainax anime Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt gets the parody treatment it dishes out with our Men in Black crossover shirt (though ours says “Bitches in Black”).
But we’ve got even more new shirts for your customers. Then the Internet exploded with a wacky meme from a Japanese TV commercial for Giga Pudding, we were there with a T-shirt (and one for girls), which have become huge sellers. We also made a “Chikan is a Crime” T-shirt reminding everyone that chikan (that is, touching girls on crowded trains) is never acceptable, featuring the teacher from the Azumanga Daioh manga and anime. Other shirts include our new “Now Accepting Applications for a Certain Japanese Girlfriend” which parodies both the “A Certain Magical Index” anime logo and the popular Nintendo DS Love Plus girls, our anti-censorship “Fight the Power” shirt, our kanji tribute to anime’s most violent female characters, and more. So much fun!
We’ve had a stellar year so far, announcing several new English-translated eroge, as 18+ anime games and visual novels are generally called by fandom. While we don’t post detailed information of preorder products here, because it’s difficult to know when they’ll actually ship, you can always check jastusa.com to see the latest game-related announcements, or add the site to your RSS reader. My Girlfriend is the President, Aselia the Eternal and the legendary School Days are all titles we’ll be bringing out to game customers in the coming months. in other words, really amazing games that are making fans go wild.
But first, an update on the most important game to come along for several years: Deus Machina Demonbane. One of the most famous games made by Nitroplus, it’s remarkable because it’s a fully compatible Cthulhu mythos game, and full of fascinating story elements and characters, and it will be printed in a larger deluxe box with color artbook inside that will be very popular. Now that the game has gone “Golden Master” and is being duplicated, we have posted it officially to the PCR side so you can get your orders in.

Here’s a new original T-shirt featuring our favorite K-On! girls on the front and back.
